Family-owned since 1893, Hurtigruten pioneered year-round service along Norway’s coast before expanding to global expedition cruising. Launched in 2019, Roald Amundsen is the line’s flagship hybrid vessel and sister to MS Fridtjof Nansen.

Design Description

An inverted XP-bow and PC6-rated hull slice smoothly through heavy seas, while twin azimuth pods and battery-hybrid engines cut noise and emissions. Inside, clean Nordic lines, wool, stone, and muted earth tones create a warm refuge after raw-weather landings.
